DUBL WIDE - Pair

I am retired college and club team coach. In retirement I am doing a little coaching of triathlete and masters swimmers online and am training myself. I tested the DUBL wide knuckles on myself and it took a set of 16x100s for it to really sink in. When I took them off for some fast repeats my hold on the water felt amazing. My training partners borrowed them and felt the same thing. Great product !

A nice and straight forward approach to aid in finger spacing.

I realized I was keeping my fingers too tight and stiff when swimming and this agitated my arthritis in my hands. Using the knuckles has almost eliminated any finger pain. So happy I found them. Won’t swim without them again!

Getting fingers to separate optimally is not the most natural part of advanced swimming technique. The Double Wides are an innovative way to train the ganglia in the hand/forearm to space the fingers automatically after practicing with them.

As an age group triathlete, I am always looking for a way to improve. Looking at some of the YouTube videos on the concept of vortexes created around each finger that increases the pulling area of your stroke made sense to me. I measured my fingers and found out that I was an in between 12.5 and that left me deciding on whether or not to get the size 12 or 13 aqua knuckle. I went with the 12 which seems to fit fairly well when pushed to the base of my fingers. One problem which shows in the photos is that two fingers seem to have a good spread, but one finger still touches the other finger, even with the aqua knuckles on, since there was not sufficient rubber to push them apart. I have tried wearing them on my knuckles, which gives me a greater spread as shown in the second photo, which may be too much spread and the size 12 fit pretty tight when on the knuckles and not the base of the fingers. A little more rubber would give that fouching finger the spread it needs.

Excellent customer service! Great product for technique junkies! I’ve just gotten back into swimming and always like to improve technique. These are a great tool to keep your workouts fun, and never get bored! I was unsure which size I should get to put over my wedding ring and they added two different sizes for me to try! It is an amazing product that we use a lot in swim practices and it has helped me improve on getting a more powerful catch. The aqua knuckles are comfortable and with the proper size they can help perfect your finger spacing while swimming. Must try product!!!

They fit quite well and don't feel like they would come off at any stage. The sizing chart is a bit difficult to get right. As for performance improvement that is still yet to be determined. We have only had them a few weeks but its definitely worth something.

Love Aqua Knuckles. I find they work especially well as a more shoulder friendly training tool than paddles.

I definitely can feel a difference when using this perfect little green helper. Besides of swimming, I'm using it also for aqua jogging.

They work as advertised. Muscle memory works!

To be honest, I use them the other way around than I thought. I have a "Spock" in my team who keeps his fingers grotesquely far apart when pulling his arm. That's no longer possible with the things! Tape would also go, but then he would have them too tight, then you would have a problem with a problem replaced.

feels more natural compare to using paddle. i am going to use it more often when swimming. for us Asian thsi Aqua Knuckle is consider Expensive however it is worthy

The first 50 meters of use can be a little overwhelmed. But after 200 meters, I found that my palms would relax, the water in my arms felt much better, and I doing catch the and push the water smoothly.

I just received my Aqua Knuckles. The fit was perfect. I’m a 60-year-old beginner swimmer. My first lesson was a disaster as I looked like I was violently drowning in a 5-foot deep pool. I kept at it and now swim 4 to 5 times a week for an hour. I’ve improved a lot over the last couple months but I’ve become too reliant on hand paddles. When swimming barehanded I slow significantly and become exhausted quickly. I’m swimming for weight loss and I’ve dropped 110 lbs thus far. Did I mention I only have 1 lung? I needed to break this habit but my hands keep cupping. I saw the Aqua Knuckles on MySwimPro and thought I’d give it a try. I’m not trying to shave seconds off my time, I’m just trying to swim normally and gain endurance. I swam with them for the first time last night. It was an instant game changer for me. I swam 1,000 yards in 30 minutes! Plus, I was able to do that swimming all 50’s which is something I’ve not been able to sustain. I know to you seasoned swimmers 1k in 30 minutes will get you kicked off the team but to me it was a major accomplishment and was completely unexpected. My goal has been to join Pre-Masters and then, Masters swimming. You’ve made that possible for me as I cannot rely on those paddles to get me there. Swimming has literally been a lifesaver for me. These Aqua Knuckles have completely change my approach to swimming. I feel fitter after using them in the pool.

I was flopping around in the pool and continually changing my swim techniques ongoing. At the end of each I still felt that I was lumbering in the water with lots of effort poor results. I found the Aqua Knuckles on utube. Listened to the video and I was sold. After getting used to the feeling of the AKs the results have changed my results, more speed less effort, I actually feel better after my swims with renewed energy for my efforts. Great innovation.

Disappointed to not get a matching bag colour. I chose the green knuckles to be visible in my blue kit bag but they came in a blue bag.

Aqua knuckles have been a great training aid. I swim about 1500m with them each day. It has really helped me swim with a more relaxed and open hand and pull more water with each stroke. I would definitely recommend.

I originally ordered a pair about a month ago. I had a little trouble figuring out the correct size at first and mentioned I would likely purchase a second pair because the original pair was just a tiny bit lose in the water. To my surprise and delight I was shipped the correct size based on my first review. The new pair fits like a glove and don’t have that little bit of movement when in the water. I love them and have noticed a difference right away, shaving a few minutes off my normal swim time. I’ve never paid much attention to my finger positions when I swim. So when my friend showed me the link for the Aqua Knuckles I thought it might help me swim faster. Then I swam the next day before the order arrived and realized that I already swim with my fingers apart. So I thought, well, this is a waste. But NO! I got the order and started wearing them. I’ve shaved 1.5 minutes off my mile time! I’m invigorated and doing some HIIT laps. Thanks!!

A little snug but would like to try larger size..

Great, speedy shipment that was well updated on its travels. I had a little trouble with the sizing; I would probably benefit from the next size down, but they are a good enough fit from the instructions. Time will tell after using them in the pool for the first few times. Would order another pair without hesitation in a smaller size if need be and use the ones I have as a very good backup.

I finally got to used them in the water with both of my age group swimmers, it really helped with their finger position, sometimes they open their fingers too much, or too closed. Great product!

Great aid in helping me learn the more proper separation of my fingers to improve my swimming technique. I’m not a competitive swimmer & I’m an older (70 yrs) advanced beginner-intermediate type so I wasn’t sure if these would help me. THEY ARE HELPFUL.

My 12 yr old daughter, loves the knuckles, she had some issues with her hand and fingers during pulling on how tight or how open her hands should be, but with the help of the knuckles it helped her to have better feel for the water and she finally see improvements in her pull.

The science behind this product has been known in the swimming community, and utilized, for years. However, there aren't very many products that allow for proper training of hand placement and finger spacing to truly gain the necessary muscle memory for a proper training response. The aqua knuckles are a game changer! Not only can you use them for drilling/skilling sets at low speeds, you can also utilize them at higher speeds. This is extremely beneficial. It allows your body to adjust to the proper feel at various points in your stroke when swimming at race pace. Honestly, after using them for the first time, I actually felt withdrawal symptoms from my hands when I took them off to continue my practice. I had to chuckle, because it was so effective and my body noticed a positive difference so quickly. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking to improve their stroke efficiency

Great training item. Was keeping my fingers together for over 20 years of swimming before I discovered they should be apart. Needless to say, trying to break a 20 year habit is not easy but these “simple” items do the trick. LOVE them.

So far so good, I have been trying to cut corners for ages so if Aquaknuckles help me find that little extra in using water in a more efficient way then I am all for them. Nothing ventured nothing gained. They fit nicely and I can certainly feel a difference in my arm action. Aquaknuckles remind me a little of using paddles but scaled down. Using Aquaknuckles on fly was a strange feeling and effect, I will have to work with them a little more. As a 65 year old and a Masters swimmer, swimming innovations are still there to be found. I'm just learning how to swim efficiently: breathing, kicking, catch and pull, the whole nine. The aqua knuckles allow me to spread my fingers just right w/o having to think about it. I'm smoother in the water.

I use the great Aquaknuckles regularly in my training. I alternate wearing them in sets, as I focus on my stroke technique. Definitely improves your feel for the water!

This product really helps me to focus on the right hand entry for my strokes. I find it especially helpful for the first 1200-1500 in a workout, including warmup. Helps develop an awesome feel of the water which carries over to the rest of the workout.
